THE LARGEST IRON STATUE IN THE WORLD
VULCAN FACTS, AND HIS HARDSHIPS
- casted in 1904, for the worldexpo in louisiana
- for 30 yrs he stayed at the fairgrounds to be forgotten
- in 1934, he was placed atop red mtn.,where he remains to this day
- he holds in his right hand a torch with neon tubes that i have the privaledge of maintaining...i also document any, and all cracks that are beginning to form..i would like to encourage everyone who sees this to contact MAYOR RICHARD ARRINGTON @: THE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM, AL.tell him that you would like to see vulcan refurbished.thanks
