Title: Tinsel and Ribbons (1/1) Author: Meredian Email: mere_dythe@hotmail.com Rating: PG-13, I guess Summary: Another BSINBABL story… set around Christmas Disclaimer: They are not mine. They belong to Joss, King of the Acid Trip. I mean no harm. Note: For Chelle, ‘cuz she wanted it. *s indicate though. And feedback is always lovely. -----------------------------The tree looked perfect. Each sparkling white light blinked on and off, in a trailing pattern that raced around the bulk of the green tree. Balls of the brightest colors reflected the light, sending rays of light all over the room. Strands of tinsel hung from the branches a waterfall of shimmering silver flowing over the myriad of shades. And resting on top of the goliath was a star, crystal, twinkling in the dim light of the room.
It was lovely.
The vampire circled the tree, moving a piece of tinsel here, adjusting a glass icicle there, but mainly admiring his handiwork. Hours of shopping for the ornaments, selecting those which would compliment and radiate off of each other, had paid off. The tree was a sea of glistening tints and hues. *I hope Xander likes it*
Angelus had never really cared about the holidays before. Christmas had just been another day. He lived each moment as if it was his own personal holy day, so those ordained by mortal man never mattered.
But now he had Xander. And his whole world had changed. Suddenly he wanted a Christmas tree. He wanted to have piles of gaily wrapped presents piled in his living room. He wanted to light a fire and hang stockings stuffed with Chocolate Hurricanes and glittery silver lube before it. He wanted to make hot cocoa and popcorn, snuggling on the couch watching "Here Comes Santa Claus".
He wanted Christmas. And he wanted it with the man he loved.
Sitting on the couch, Angelus absently arranged the bright clumps of holly and evergreen he had places on the coffee table. His eyes drooped; he had been working around the clock to prepare this surprise for his lover. Every moment Xander was not around, the vampire had been purchasing cookie fixings, inquiring as to the best holiday music, asking about for the best tree dealers in the area.
Frankly, Angelus was exhausted. He leaned back on the cushions, relaxing in what were his first free moments of the month. *Xander won’t be back for a while… family gathering… I can rest my eyes…*
In seconds, he was dozing deeply on the leather sofa.
----------------------------
Xander unlocked the door, muttering under his breath about the strangeness of eating leftover broccoli beef at a family gathering. *The Harris’. A family with class.*
Walking in slowly, trying to balance the boxes and bundles in his arms, he shut the door behind him.
Xander caught his breath. His eyes grew wide, their brown depths sparkling.
*That is so … wow*
Putting his armload of stuff on the floor, he tiptoed over to the tree, trying his best not to disturb the sleeping Angelus. Reaching out hesitantly, he brushed an errant tree branch with his fingertips. As the branch scratched over his fingers, he glanced down. The foil wrapped gifts sat in their magic. Xander kneeled down, curious. The tags stood out from a sprig of holly, the words "To Xander" written on it in a firm hand.
A hand Xander knew well.
*He did this for me?* Looking at his sleeping lover, Xander’s eyes clouded with tears.
And then he had an idea.
-----------------------------
A creak to the left woke him up, forcing his dream filled eyes open. Angelus darted his glance around the room, looking for whatever it was that woke him up. When it fell on the perpetrator, Angelus’ mouth widened into a large, happy smile.
Xander stood before him, shining in the firelight, wearing only a wide red ribbon round his groin and a cheery smile.
"I…"
Walking over to his vampire lover, Xander hushed him with a soft, sultry kiss. Angelus leaned back, savoring the warm taste of the boy on his lips.
Grabbing the vampire’s hand, Xander laid it on the bow directly over his cock. He continued the kiss, dancing his tongue in Angelus’ mouth, touching his cold cheek with his free hand. Finally, breaking free, he grinned at the other man.
"Open your present, Dead Boy."
Angelus found he could do just that.
It was a very Merry Christmas.
