Singapore Match Report

Liverpool's pre-season preparations continue with a ground breaking trip to the far east.

The Reds will play two games in six days, the first of which is in Singapore against a S-League Select XI.

A huge crowd is expected at the National Stadium in Kallang. Liverpool have a large fan base in Asia and they will be keen to take advantage of this rare visit.

Speaking at a press conference about the tour, Liverpool Chief Executive Rick Pary said: "This is an important development for Liverpool Football Club. The Tour is the first part of a major new commitment by the Club to Asia.

"Not only are we proud to be offering our Asian fans the chance to see the team play live but we also see this as a great opportunity to bring the Liverpool brand and all it represents to this part of the world."
