My Review Of The All That Music & More Festival

June 25, 1999
First American Music Center
Nashville, Tennessee

My best friend, Mark, and I arrived at the First American Music Center around 4:30 and got in line. There was a radio station set up there, and when we arrived they were interviewing No Authority. Around five they opened up the gates, and we came inside the venue. The first thing we did was grab a program, then looked at the merchandise booth. I didn't really see anything that I couldn't live without, so all I bought was a picture of Aaron Carter, and then Aaron had a table set up where he was signing autographs, so I went over to meet him, and he autographed my picture. He was much shorter than he looks in his pictures. He was wearing baggy jeans and big, yellow and white jersey. It was cute, because it was about 85 degrees outside, and he kept pulling at his shirt, because he was so hot.
Next we looked around at different booths. They had a mural thing set up that you could sign, so we signed it. Then Josh from All That was up on stage doing the "You Can't Win" skit from All That. So we watched that, which was very cool. (I Love Josh!) And then Billy Crawford came out and sang some songs. He was just amazing. I'm definitely getting his cd. And they were giving out free tapes of his single "Urgently In Love" along with two clips from the album. He had two backup dancers, and one of them looked a lot like Ricky Martin.

After we looked around some more, we finally got a bottled water and went to our seats. And later Billy Crawford's two dancers, came over and sat just 4 rows in front of us!! The first act on the main stage was No Authority. They sang about four or five songs. And I must say, they were very good dancers. I thought their act was even better than 98 Degrees! Their performance was awesome, but I felt sorry for them, because no one was cheering except the the girls in in the first few rows.

Aaron Carter was next. He came out on a scooter. And he sang "Get Wild." And he did "Girl You Shine". I can't remember the name of the next song, & then he did Sugar Sugar, and he threw candy into the audience.

In between each act they had All That Skits, which were cute, except that Amanda girl was getting on my nerves so bad!! Other than that, the only thing that really annoyed me EYC. They were kind of cool, but they did more dancing than they did singing, and they really didn't even sing...they just yelled a bunch. (don't send me hate mail if you like them...actually one of the guys was from Alabama, my home state...so that's pretty cool)

Later Monica came out and we discovered that the guy sitting right in front of us was one of Monica's dancers, so that was pretty awesome!! Monica's set was very pretty also. It was like a fairy tale castle. DJ Nabs played "Everybody" while they were taking down Monica's set, and everyone started screaming. Then of course the guys from 98 Degrees came out and sang all their hits, and I was about to go deaf from all the screaming around me.

Well, that's about it. It was a very fun evening!! I could go on and on, but I'd rather not. I most likely won't put any pics on this page, but if I do scan some pics, I'd be happy to email them to you. I have a couple of pics taken just feet away from Aaron after I got his autograph.
