Tyler's 1979 John Deere Trail Fire

Well, Before I picked this, and my other two machines up, I was wishing it looked just like the pictures. But never take a guy you never met before's word for it. This guy was wrong. It needs a lot of work. LOTS AND LOTS. Oh well it will give me somthing to do for the next couple of weeks till The SNOW flys. You will see many pictures of this thing. Now it is not much to look at. But after a couple hundred dollars and a bit of five fingred discounts (Joking) This will be the talk of the town (I hope). I will also exept any ideas you may have for it. Right now Im thinking of painting the whole thing black with green and yellow flames. The seat dosn't need recovering but. Plus a few other little modifications. You will notice them latter. And some will be avable for sale here later.
I have a running Trailfire 340 motor for sale make me an offer. E-Mail

Front End

Well this is it this is the monster now. This guy has painted the thing balck. You may also notice that the wind shiled is missing. Bet you won't notice as easly what it is replaced with. A BIG OIL CAN cut out and screwed on well this it the first thing to go.

The Hole

Look at this. The guy tried to tell me the... ah never mind. Here are a cuple pics of the hole right below the crank case. Lots of work left to do. I will update with new pics every week.
