Hello, there! As you know I have only introduced myself to you as the editor of UNFEMME. My name is Barakathunnisha and most people calls me Nisha for short. Well, if you are a beginner using long words, then pronouncing my full name would be really difficult.

If you are wondering why I was given a very long name, the answer is really simple. The name was not even chosen by anyone in my family. When I was born, my parents just heard the name from somewhere and named me Barakathunnisha. Anyway they liked the meaning of my name. My name means, blessed woman.

By race I am an Afghan Indian, by nationality I am a Singaporean. My great great great great grandfather (my father side) was a cloth trader. He travelled from Afghan with his family into India. The family grew and finally there were too many of them that we lost contact with most of them.

My grandfather migrated from India to Singapore when he was 20 years old. Since then my family had been living in Singapore. We also had tried to retain our culture as much as possible.

Well, I've talked alot about my history but not much about me. I am 17 years old at the time I created this page. My hobbies are reading, stitching, watching TV and going out with friends.
