All About Me

Hi, My name is Alice and I'm a 74 year widow. I'm retired and loving every minute of it. I do crafts in my "spare" time. About a month ago I took on the dauntless task of putting up a Web Site. That has pretty much taken over from my first love which is crafts. I guess that is just a different form,but it is taking up a lot of my time. Keeps me from running the streets!!!

My crafts are varied. I make fabric albums of all kinds. The most popular are the wedding and baby. At one time I made school albums in the school colors. People bought them as graduation presents. I also made fabric clocks on styrofoam rings. The face would be a picture of animals or flowers or whatever people wanted and came in panels.

At one time I had my products in craft stores on consignment. But the stores all started closing as they couldn't make enough to pay there rent let alone a salary. Most were working for the fun of it.Now I concentrate all year on crafts to sell at our church annual craft show. That usually keeps me pretty busy.

My biggest [and most fun] item is counted cross stitch. However, I do some painting such as Santa faces on sand dollars. This year I have something new and that is snowmen made from sand dollars. I also love to paint on bisque and wood. I have worked some with clay and would like to get into mosaics and glass painting.

I'm hoping to put some pictures of some of my work to share with you. But don't hold your breath.
