Milagro

The Heart of the Matter:

Okay, so the plot had me confused a bit between what was reality and what was imagination. The idea, although not totally original, was carried out in a very spooky and suspensful manner.

Padgett freaked me out from the beginning -- the way he was staring at Scully. Only Mulder should do that! I wonder if guys do that. I mean, stare at lips for -- like -- ever.

So he sends her that heart pendant the next day, knowing that she will go to the church. The way he wrote about her as she was on the phone added to the erie effect. When she goes to the church to see the painting of the burning heart, he shows up. A stalker? No, of course not. Hello?! Scully, do you not know the meaning of the word "run"? Especially after he analyizes her life perfectly -- right down to her motives and everything! Sounds like an OBSESSE gone bad to me!

Is it just me or is Mulder in alittle disbelief after Scully announces the pendant was from a secret admirer? Maybe a little jealous? Its a good thing he lives next door, so that he can monitor Padgett's, um, night activities *cough, cough*

Now, does Scully start feeling intrigued about Padgett because he's writting about her, or is it because she's intrigued that he writes? See where I get confused? Anyway, he writes about them doing it! I'm glad Scully at least had an imagined sex life for 10 seconds, since she hasn't had sex since Ed Jerse (and even that didn't turn out real well). Let's face it, Mulder is too chicken to make a move. But, I could have enjoyed the episode without seeing GA's bra. I know, I know -- male philes will be living off that for the rest of their lives. So, then, can the female philes see DD's red speedo again?

Luckily Scully doesn't sleep with Padgett. She does, however, drop by his apartment and start to chat with him. Was it just coincidence that the light bulbs went out, or was it their electricty? Whatever it was, it was funny when they both jumped. Eventhough Padget doesn't own much furnature, at least he owns a bed. How pathetic does that tell us that Mulder is? What's sick is Padgett bought the apartment because of her since he wants to get inside her head (not to mention pants). Mulder busts through the door and arrests him, instead.

At the jail, Mulder mentions Padgett's written words about Scully. I wonder what exactly was going through his mind when he was reading that. Gee, since he is the porno watcher, I'm inclined to think that I know what he was doing while he was reading it. *cough, cough* Maybe inserting himself into the story in place of that guy...okay, I'll stop now.

Anywho, that guy signs a statement, leading Mulder to the dead body of a girl who dies while the author is in jail. Mulder believes it's physcic surgery -- so then why does he need an accomplice? I mean, the dude doesn't need to even be there for killing! Logic? Hello?

Well, they release Padgett, but monitor him. They don't see him talking to anyone, but apparently the killer from his book pays an imaginary visit. The "killer" tells him to kill off Scully in his book, so he does. (I think this guy's on acid).

Mulder chases the guy to the furnace where he plans to burn what he just wrote. In the meantime, Scully is having her organs disected by the hooded killer guy. How disgusting was that?! *Go CC!* Mulder runs to rescue her, but only to find her listless body laying on the floor. He puts his hand ever so lovingly behind her neck in disbelief, and she jumps with shock. She cries in his arms, clawing at his back for dear life as his face is etched with pain. AWWWWWWW!

Quit Playing Games With My Heart:

Very shippy, but in the good old fashioned way. Not like Rain King or Triangle (although I did love those episodes!). It was like the old episodes, where you had to hunt for the shippy things.

Like when Mulder was yelling at the author in the jail, Scully stopped him by putting her had on his arm. Very subtle, but there. What made it more outstanding was that the author picked up on it. His heart was broken as he looked between them. Shippers rejoice!

My Heart Is In Your Teeth:

Padgett: In my book I'd writen that Agent Scully falls in love, but that's impossible.....Agent Scully is already in love

Mulder: Well let's just say it ends with you doin the naked pretzel with the stranger on a bed of an unfurnished fourth floor apartment.....I'm assuming that's apriory, too?
Scully: I think you know me better than that, Mulder.

Padgett: Motive is never easy. Sometimes it occurs to one only later.

Eat Your Heart Out:

Overall score of 8.5! Really great writing, special effects, acting, lighting, and camera angles (like as Padgett watching Scully in the church).

Way To Kill Diana:
Give shippers Padgett's "Imaginative" ability and see what happens
