The Quarantine: A Covid-19 Cocktail
For some strange reason, my sister asked me to create a drink called the Quarantine, and this is what I thought of.
I'm no mixologist but if you look close you can see the madness at work.
QUinine (tonic water) + DisARANno + ClemenTINE (vodka) mashed together makes 'QUARANTINE'.
The orange-peel, twisted and squeezed to release the oils, adds sublime essence to complete the drink and is considered necessary, as is the UV light to complete the experience.
If there was a Tangerine vodka, I would consider that as well.
I must say, while I tend to prefer straight bourbon to mixed drinks, I think this tastes really great!
It has just the right balance of bitter and sweet and looks mysterious and spooky under UV, if lightly stirred.
