He is arguably the best miler in the world today.
World Champoin in 1500m in 1997.
World record holder in 1500m (3:26:00). 

Hicham El Guerrouj ended Noureddine Morceli's era of dominance in world middle-distance running when he beat the Olympic champion into fourth place in the 1500 metres at 1997 world championships
 


 



Said Aouaita

Born: Nov. 2, 1959, this legendary Moroccan runner took the world by storm in the middle 80's, and is considered by many as the greatest middle distance runner of all time

The first human being ever to run 5000m in less than 13:00 minutes (1987)
The first humanbeing ever to run 3000m in less than 7:30 minutes (1989)


won gold (5000m) and bronze (800m) in 1984 Olympics; won 5000m at 1987 World Championships; formerly held 5 world records 1500m, the Mile, 2000m,  3000m and 5000m.
 






Nizhah Bidouane

Thirtteen years after Nawal El-Moutawakel became the first Morocon women to win an Olympic title, with a victory in the 400 m Hurdels, Nezha Bidouane made her own history over the 400 m Hurdels.

She won the World Champoinship in Athens (1997) at the 400m hurdels beating Olympic Champion Deon Hemmings of  Jamaica and World Record Holder Kim Batten of USA for a 52.97 sec sweat victory.
"I have been waiting for this moment since 1990," said an ecstatic Nizha. "I have been in the event for 10 years, but this win is a whole new start for me".
 






Mustapha Hadji
I am not a football fan, but I think that he is the best player in the National Team of Morocco at the timebeing.Correct me if I am wrong!!. He was one of the stars of World Cup (1998) in France.
