SIMPSON ARCHIE RICHEY

Simpson Archie Richey was born to •Sion L. Perry Richey(b. 5-6-1827)and Cynthis Carolina Byce(b.12-2-1829) on 2-24-1850 in St. Clair County,Alabama.

At age 19(1869), Archie married Mary Elizabeth Lindsey(b. 5-10-1854) in Benton(which is now Calhoun) county,Alabama.

In the 1850 Benton Co. census Simpson is shown at 5 1/2 months old with his father Sion L. and mother Cynthis Carolina(BYCE)

In the 1880 census of St.Clair county Alabama, the family is found in household # 93, with Simpson, Elizabeth, John Taylor,•Willam Andrew and Perry Martin.He is listed as a laborer.

In 1899, Simpson died of injuries acquired in a runaway mule accident. He is buried in Mt. Zion cemetery in Lawrence County, Alabama, along with his mother Cynthia .
