The Pentax ZX-50
An
addition to the already successful ZX line, the ZX-50 is the perfect
camera for the beginning photographer. One of the smallest, lightest
autofocus 35mm SLR cameras on the market, the ZX-50 is packed
with many sophisticated features at a very affordable price.
List of
Features
Conventional aperture-preferred and shutter-preferred auto
modes for creative control, and metered manual and Bulb modes
for total creative freedom. Multi-segment metering system
assures optimum results even under difficult lighting conditions,
such as backlighting or high-contrast conditions. High-speed,
high-precision SAFOX V phase-matching autofocus system assures
precise, fast focus even under poor lighting conditions. Predictive
autofocus function automatically detects the subject's motion
and anticipates the subject's position at the time of shutter
release, resulting in perfectly focused photos even when the subject
is moving toward or away from the camera. The built-in TTL
"Smart Flash" is your reliable assistant in difficult
lighting conditions. It makes previously complicated flash techniques
such as daylight sync and slow shutter sync simple and effortless.
It has pre-flash emission to reduce the "red-eye" effect
in your subject's eyes. Bright, uncluttered viewfinder has
an LCD display with shutter and aperture settings, manual metering
scales, and indicators for focus, flash and exposure compensation.
Exposure compensation of +/- 3 EV allows you to intentionally
over- or under-expose your images for just the right effect your
creativity demands to capture the mood of the moment. Large,
easy-to-see external LCD control panel gives camera status at
a glance, including shutter and aperture settings, exposure counter,
picture mode setting, exposure compensation setting and low-battery
warning. The ZX-50 is truly compatible; the Pentax FA-, F-
and A-series lenses are ideal partners for the ZX-50 as well as
the AF500FTZ, AF330FTZ, AF220T and AF140C dedicated flash units.
The ZX-50 Date model has five-mode switchable data imprinting:
"Year-Month-Day," "Day-Hour-Minute," "Month-Day-Year,"
"Day-Month-Year," and blank.
