Togepi first appeared in Episode 46, when Ash finds an egg in some canyon. However, Togepi didn't really appear until Episode 50, when the egg finally hatches in Misty's arms. However, before this miracle of life happens, Team Rocket had gotten their hands on the egg. But Team Rocket never gets away with their devious plan because of failure curse or something! Ash and gang finds them, and challenges them to a battle. While the battle took place, the egg, which at the time Misty was holding, hatched! That's why Togepi is officially Misty's, as naturally most creatures get imprinted to the one they see first in their life.

Mariru

Another new PokéMon worth noting that's going to appear in PokéMon Gold/Silver would be Mariru, the water counterpart of Pikachu. Mariru appeared in "Pikachu's Summer Vacation" movie in Japan.

Buru

It's a dog, a rather odd dog, why pink? Okay, let's think of the looks. Looks like either Normal or Psychic, huh? Well, just look at Mr. Mime! He looks like a clown or idiot, no offense to any who likes him! This dog looks like a clown! Seems like his first appearance was in the movie "Pikachu's Summer Vacation," along with Mariru.

Houou(The Golden Bird)

Have you ever seen the first PokéMon episode? Ever notice the bird at the end above the rainbow? And now guess what? This is that same bird. I haven't any idea what type it is. It could even be a Ghost/Psychic/Flying type PokéMon for all I know!
