The gang has nothing to do, so they hang at Buffy's house and watch Hindi television. At the same time Buffy is pleased with the lack of creepies around, and young woman escapes from a sorority house and runs across the yard being chased by a group of men in black cloaks. She manages to get into the neighboring cemetary, but they catch her.
The next day, Buffy is telling Willow about her dreams of Angel and how much she is thinking of him. Buffy is late for an appointment with Giles and he's steamed. He lectures her about being late and all.
Cordelia is trying to get some college guy to go out with her, but his buddy wants a girl to go with him. And he wants Buffy. He rambles on and then Giles comes after Buffy to train with him. She pummels him and he releases her to patrol.
Buffy is patrolling in the graveyard when she is suddenly approached by Angel who informs her that the bracelet she has found has blood on it. They start to talk. She kinda inquires about a date/coffee mode with him. They get into how they cannot be together and he tries to get her to face reality. She runs off. Way intense.
Cordelia really wants to go to the frat party, so she pretty much begs her to go. She is so bent on being with the rich Richard guy. After the bad night with Angel, she agrees.
The scene switches to a bunch of frat guys, including Richard, pledging to a demon. They break out the beer and Richard taunts the young girl who they captured earlier.
Buffy tells Willow and Xander about going to the frat party and her reasons for going. Angel has been treating her like a child and how they never talk. She goes to the library and gives Giles the bracelet she found. He wants her to go out patrolling and pretty much lies about where she is going. Willow is appauled.
Cordelia preps Buffy on clothes and attitude and Xander decides to go and protect Buffy.
Buffy and Cordelia arrive and are approached by Richard. He gives them each a drink, but Buff puts it down. Buffy cowers in the corner until Tom (frat guy from before) asks her to dance. As they dance, the frat guys recognize Xander as a crasher, so they designate him as a new pledge.
Buffy wanders outside and notices that there is broken glass on the ground. Richard brings her another drink and she decides the take the plunge and chugs it.
Willow tries to figure out what the initails on the bracelet mean. She figures out that the girl went to Kent Prepatory school.
As the frat guys dress Xander up in a bra, skirt, and wig and make him dance around, Buffy has been drugged and wanders upstairs. She finds an empty bedroom and lies down. Richard and Tom come in and they have both Cordelia and Buffy for the demon.
Tom and Richard prepare for the ritual and they realize that all three of them (including the Kent girl) are going to be sacrificed.
Giles wants to call Buffy, but Willow protects her. They discover that it is possibly ritualistic and they call Angel. Angel arrives and Willow finally tells them that Buffy lied and is at the frat party. Willow goes off and tells them that the only reason she went is because Angel kept ignoring her and Giles kept pressuring her.
The demon, a giant lizard, is called and goes after Cordelia. She starts to scream and inorder to save her, Buffy distracts the demon.
Angel, Giles, Willow, and Xander get into the house and start to attack people. Angel runs to get his precious Buffy.
Meanwhile, Buffy taunts it and challenges it. She manages to pull herself free from the chains and grab a sword. Then, she stabs it. It subsides. Then Angel, Giles, Xander, and Willow come in.
The next night at the Bronze, Cordelia goes back to torturing high school boys. Willow tells Buffy about how Angel really cared about her. Xander has a classic line! "Angel, Angel, Angel. Does every conversation we have have to come around to that freak? (angel comes up behind him) Hey man, how you doing?" Angel invites Buffy for coffee. She tells him she will... sometime.
