What Is "Revelations"?
"Revelations" is a musical that was written in 1998 by Andrew Lane, and first performed at St. Mary's Of The Angels College, Nathalia, that same year.
Based on the Biblical book of Revelation, Andrew condensed the text into a libretto and then added music to create a 90's rock musical that appeals to all ages.
During 1998, a cast of 15 students and a crew of 10 students, all between the ages of 12 and 18, were assembled to bring this new stage musical to life.
They began rehearsals in April and worked through the ensuing months with a view to a September opening. On the 10th of September, "Revelations" the musical opened to a packed church and played out its season to rave reviews from all who saw it. A CD, which had also been produced suring the rehearsal schedule, was placed on sale, and found favour not only in its quality, but in its professionalism and vitality.
Out of this success, a tour was arranged around eastern Victoria, covering the towns of Euroa, Wangaratta, Numurkah and Cobram. Once more, the tour was a massive success.
Since then, there has been expressions of interest and words of encouragement from far and wide, and now we look to continue the good work!
