LEFT PICTURE

Gate body with slot hand filed for aperture plate to slide in behind gate. Small bracket at end of slot acts as stop for aperture plate. A wire spring fashioned out of piano wire will hold aperture plate firmly against gate.

RIGHT PICTURE

Gate mounted, spring wires held in place by gate. Spring wires push against center of aperture plate keeping plate flat against gate.

Aperture plate slides in, held in place by spring wires behind plate.
