High Country Bow Pics

These are some pictures of my hunting bow, a High Country Max Force bow, thats top limb broke while I was drawing. As you can see, the limb is beyond repair and I was very luck not to have been hurt. The plastic coating High Country calls “Vibra Flex Armor” is so thick that cracks in the limbs can not be seen until it’s to late. Also notice that the limb underneath the plastic coating has a different camo pattern than the outside of the limb. It would seem to me that High Country simply re-dipped an old limb and call it new in order to save money. But don’t take my word for it, look for yourself and you be the judge. Also if anyone ask you about the quality of High Country’s products, please refer them to this page so they can also judge for theirself.

I have emailed High Country about this problem. After a week and a half I received this email:
ROBERT, ANY LOCAL HCA DEALER CAN ORDER PARTS TO REPAIR YOUR BOW, AND YES YOUR LIMBS HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY. YOU CAN ALSO CALL THE WARRANTY DEPT. AT 423-949-5000 AND GET INFO ON HOW TO RETURN THE BOW TO THE FACTORY FOR REPAIR. THANKS, HIGH COUNTRY ARCHERY

The thing they fail the mention is most shop will charge you extra for doing work on a bow that wasn't bought from their shop. Besides, I really don't want to shoot a bow with a new "old" limb on it. I don't have anything personally against High Country, but I will not be buy another product from High Country and wouldn't recommend any of High Country's products, nor will I ever get the High Country bow I have fixed because of my doubts about the workmanship of the products High Country produces. As the old saying goes "a picture is worth a thousand words", these picture speak volumes about High Country. Robert Morrow

Here is the front view of the bow. Note you can see the old High Country logo under what is left of the Vibra Flex coating which was painted with a different camo and logo"

This is a side view of the top limb. Note that the limb is split from the axle hole all the way down into the limb pockets. You can see a hair like piece of limb hanging off the back and pieces of the plastic coating (Vibra Flex Armor) hanging off the back of the limb.

This is showing the break from the top view of the limb.
