Brian played the drums when he was younger. He studied classic music and jazz piano for 6 years. He had his mind on becoming a musician but kind of stumbled over acting because one of his classmates had been in a few commercials and made a lot of money.

 "The fact that I was getting paid to talk was probably the first that got me into acting and it was just a lot of fun. I was just 9 years old and it was something different to do. Instead of skateboarding all week long I got to do that and with cameras and everything, it was a blast!"

 Brian's favorite Beverly Hills 90210 episode was the Hawaiian episode in 1997 because that was the only time they ever got to travel far.

 One of Brian's first jobs on television was on a pilot for  what would eventually become the hit show Saved By The Bell. At the time it was called God morning Miss Bliss and Brian played Adam one of Miss Bliss smartest and most annoying student's.

 Brian was together with  former co-star Tiffani-Amber Thiessen who played Valerie on 90210 for almost 3 years. Although they aren't a couple anymore they good friends.

 In 1995 he released his own album called "One Stop Carnival".

 'Austin' was just a  name he added when he got in to the acting business.
