Spelling Entertainment Group Inc.'s
(NYSE:SP)(PSE:SP) one-hour series, "Beverly Hills, 90210," has been renewed by
Fox Broadcasting Co. for its 10th season, firmly establishing the series as the
longest-running one-hour drama on television. "Beverly Hills, 90210," which airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m., is a Spelling Television production and is executive produced by Aaron Spelling, E. Duke Vincent, Paul Waigner and John Eisendrath. Laurie McCarthy and Doug Steinberg are the co-executive producers. Brian Austin Green is a producer. For the current 1998-99 season "Beverly Hills, 90210" is No. 1 in its timeslot, Wednesdays (8-9 p.m. ET/PT), among women 18-34 (10.9 rating/30 share), women 18-49 (7.7/20), and adults 18-34 (8.4/25). Among all regular Fox series, the show ranks No. 2 with women 18-34 (10.9/30). When compared with all network regular series programming, "Beverly Hills, 90210" ranks No. 7 among women 18-34 (10.9/30). The show is seen by an estimated 200 million people around the world and ranks as one of the most watched American television shows domestically and internationally.
