E! ONLINE'S CELEB STAR BOARD

[X]

You could say he's got it all--a hit TV show, a career about to hit a new level and a rumored hittin'-the-town relationship with his boss' daughter, Tori Spelling.

But Vincent Young is not your average next-wave actor in Hollywood. Sure, he was once a model; sure, he's on ever-trendy Beverly Hills, 90210...

But the New Jersey-raised Vincent is anything but predictable. He studied with reputable (and tough) coach William Esper. But this young hunk says the experience of living in a NYC loft with four actors was the best training, claiming that the nights of scene work with his pals was a great way to work his craft.

To relieve stress, he hits the acupuncturist; or, should we say, the acupuncturist hits him--at least three times a week. And Vincent believes flexing his mind is more important than flexing his pecs, describing his taste in music and art as eclectic--Beethoven to Hendrix, impressionism to pre-Raphaelite.

So, what does the pouty 90210-er love about his show? Where's he go to escape? His answers will surprise you--they certainly surprised us.

From misarose: How did you know you wanted to act, and how did you get your start?
When I was younger, I used to watch all the old movies--Clift, Brando, James Dean. I knew it was what I wanted to do. I started by doing plays and small film roles in New York.

From angelissa: Are there any actors you look up to or try to emulate?
I am a huge Montgomery Clift fan. I realized when I was younger, watching his films, that whatever he was doing was way more interesting than everyone else, and it stuck with me. Contemporary actors I admire are Richard Harris, Robert Duvall, Val Kilmer, Sean Penn, Nicolas Cage and Nick Nolte. And I can't forget Denzel.

From june26: What's your favorite movie(s) of all time?
From Here to Eternity, Giant, Glory, Wrestling Ernest Hemingway, An Officer and a Gentleman.

From prncss6405: What do you think you'd be doing if you weren't an actor?
Something connected with the arts. Something creative.

From torontof: How did you go about researching playing an alcoholic on 90210? Has it been one of your biggest challenges?
It's a very scary and emotional place to be for a character. I did my research by spending time with alcoholics--watching, observing and trying to understand them, which at times made me realize how altered they must feel.

From witchie: Where do you pull all of the emotions that you have so wonderfully displayed on the show? You must be exhausted by the end of the day, with all the trouble your character has!
I like to put myself in a completely different place mentally, and actually allow myself to feel the emotions of that moment. It's exhausting at times, however the excitement of the challenge is that much more fulfilling.

From sparkle1234: What's the best thing about being on 90210?
Many things--like working with such a professional cast, which makes my job that much easier and enjoyable. And Spelling Entertainment has great craft service!

From adictd2tv: What's the cast like?
It's like a family!

From oilcan: Do you have any input with the writers?
Yes, we all work together pretty well.

From hollywoodgurl: Are you in any way like Noah?
Yes. We're both very passionate.

From hyper_angel: I've read you're really into painting. Do you have any pieces of your own, or of someone else, that are particularly inspirational?
This is true, I do love to paint. I'm just now starting to collect pieces from artists I admire.

From specalist: Will Donna and Noah get through their problems, or will Gina make things worse?
Well, they've been through worse, but you never know.

From lilpad: Who makes you laugh the most on the 90210 set, and why?
Ian Ziering, because he's so unpredictable and such a prankster! Tori Spelling has a great sense of humor, also.

From pebbles_stoj: What do you do to wind down after work?
Listen to music. Play with my dog.

From viscositee: What do you do and where do you go to have fun and relax?
VEGAS!!

From meniscus: What's your favorite cereal?
Cap'n Crunch Peanut Butter. Best, bar none!

From yenyen: What nationality are you?
Irish, Austrian, Italian.

From cyber_druid08: What projects do you have upcoming?
In between my busy 90210 schedule, I'm reviewing some scripts and looking for the right fit.

From lisaann234: How does it feel to be on a hit TV show?
It feels great, and I'm very fortunate!
