CHRISTIANS UNITED MINISTRIES, INC...HIS MINISTRY OF PRAYER
"But we give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word." Acts 6:4
Alabama State Coordinator: National Day of Prayer and Strategic Prayer Network

Janet Lynch

Janet was born and raised in Eight Mile, Alabama which is near Mobile. She is married to Alex Lynch and has 3 children, a daughter 12, plus a set of twins, 9 years old. In Janet’s senior year of college she was chosen to go to Europe for 6 months doing missionary work as a Youth Director through the Baptist Church. Europe is where she met Alex. Although she knew he was the one for her, he was not a Christian. She was determined to lead him to the Lord. She told him that he had to know and accept what she did and who she served. Janet stood firm as she shared with him that Jesus would be ‘her life’. When he came to America to visit he soon discovered the image he had of Christians was wrong. Janet attended a sweet, small, Baptist church. While visiting the church, Alex found people who truly loved going to church, people who loved Jesus and who loved Alex. By seeing the love of Christ through these people, Alex was drawn to accept Jesus as his savior. Alex believes his ministry is allowing and encouraging Janet to do what God has called her to do. Janet lovingly shared, “Alex has never wanted to hold me back, he’s never been afraid of me being in the forefront. He does what he can at home to help me so I can travel when necessary to share Jesus with others.”
About 7 or 8 years ago Janet heard an announcement on the radio about the National Day of Prayer. When they gave the 800 number to call, Janet made note. She called the local representative in Mobile who invited her to come and help organize the event. Janet says she has always had a drawing to politics. Not to be a politician but to pray for them. The next year the Mobile coordinator was

moving; she called and asked Janet to consider taking the position as city coordinator. Janet was city coordinator for a couple of years. The Alabama State Coordinator resigned and recommended Janet to take her place. This was two years ago. Six months later Janet also became Alabama State Coordinator for Strategic Prayer Network with Cindy Jacobs, Chuck Pierce and Peter Wagner. Both prayer groups network together for the glory of the Lord. Janet feels she was appointed by the Lord to this position in spiritual government.
Janet listens to the Lord and declares what HE has said and what He wants to happen to get His government established. Janet says she has learned through prayer that God speaks to her and then confirms it in His word. Many doors have been opened for Janet to share Jesus with those in governmental office. Janet knows that Jesus wants to minister to everyone of them, to shower His love on them so they may taste His goodness, which brings men to repentance. She says, “When Jesus opens the doors for us to pray for the men and women in governmental office, then we must take our position. We are to be the salt and the light. If not, the enemy will send in the counterfeit. The enemy has used the word of God as a weapon, as violence that would repel people. Who’s going to come to a violent gospel or to one that is abusive. The Lord is calling us to come back to the truth that He has given to us and to give it in love. We are to let the Holy Spirit be the Holy Spirit and let the goodness of God draw men to repentance.”
Janet is drawn to pray for Israel as commanded in the word of God. She says, “They are the chosen ones; the ones God said He would bring the light of the world through, the Messiah would come through them. As we study in Romans, the root is God, but the olive branch is the Jew. The wild olive branch is the Gentile. It says the wild will be grafted into the olive branch and then to the root. In Ephesians it says “the wisdom of the ages is the unity of Jew and Gentile. When that comes together the powers and principalities of evil will be over-

thrown because God will parade the unity of the Jew and Gentile before them. Satan’s plan since the garden is to cause division, when unity comes, there’s no more division and satan is overthrown. That’s why I pray for Israel, because it will bring life to all of us.” I asked if she would share what she prays, she states, “I first of all pray for the unity that God wants to bring in. I pray that the veil will be lifted from the Jews so they may see the Messiah and embrace Him and love Him. I pray for Jewish intercessors that will stand in the gap and pray for their people who will repent for the initial turning away of the Messiah, just as Daniel stood in the gap for His people. Of course I pray for the peace of Israel. It is also very important that we worship Jesus. Out of our worship will come the battle strategies.”
Janet shares, “Prayers that are answered, are prayers that originate with the word of God. If we are speaking those things back to Him then we know that those prayers will be answered. That has been the problem for so long, instead of praying the solution to the problem, we’ve prayed the problem back to God. He already knows the problem; He is looking to us as His government in the earth to pray His will. His perfect will is the word of God. We come to Him as lawyers. He says ‘come and present your case, use My words, it is the law and I am the righteous Judge. Every time I will find in your favor.’ When we understand that, we, as praying people of God, are the only force in the whole world that stands against the enemy coming in and establishing His government. We will take our place because we don’t want to see the world in any more darkness than it is. I encourage all of us to become lawyers and go to the courtroom of Heaven and stand before the righteous Judge. He says every good and perfect gift comes from Him, from above. See yourself as someone God listens to when you speak His word and that you can make a difference. Begin in your own family and see where He takes you.”
