Captain Steve Allen has over 30 years boating experience. He has been licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard for over 15 years. His current U.S. Coast Guard license is #750356 and is a 100 ton Ocean Master rating. He also has 25 years previous law enforcement experience.

The vessel is a 1987, 41 ft. EggHarbor "Worlds Away", it is diesel powered with 2 staterooms, air-conditioned, and is a fully equipped yacht with Radar, GPS and Loran.
