The fruitful campaign during the five year stint at UST Engineering by our very own Grace Marie ends in a high note. So high others could only see it as a tiny speck projected in high altitude.
From the start, she has exhibited the makings of a multi-awarded student. Having stayed for more than a decade in UST, she was a shoo-in for the Loyalty Award. She practically made UST her home!
But the major award this major lass got was the Cum Laude plum exclusive for students who garnered an average of at least 1.75 in all 10 semesters. That's a great feat considering that ECE is really a very, very hard course. What makes this award extra special is that the UST Faculty of Engineering used to award the Cum Laude recognition to students with weighted average of 2.0 instead of the present 1.75!
Looking back in the earlier years of engineering life, Grace has showed potentials of a Cum Laude, she was near consistent in the Dean's Listers circle. She also participated in major quiz bees teaming up with the other "bests" of the University.
Very recently, Smart Communications, the cellular arm of PLDT, recognized the excellence of our co-ECE-B with their whole-page advertisement in major publications of the excellent ECE graduates for the year 2001.
From all of the ECE-B family, we're proud of your achievements and keep it up!
