are listed in detail in the Order book for 1740, and Dudley was a Rich man.
The reason they were listed was because of the heirs of George Goodloe
accused him of getting rich to fast by stealing a portion of the commissions
when he served as deputy while Goodloe was sheiff. Dudley was exonerated of
this charge, but a complete inventory of his household goods remains. They
