This is the daily column.
My first.
The whole point of this is
1.) To make my site officially updated daily, thus impoving site traffic.
2.) To rave about pointless topics. And...
3.) Oh, dang, I forget!

Today's subject: Brackets.
What's the deal with brackets? I mean, there are parentheses, angle brackets, curly brackets, square brackets, occupying roughly 4 keys! 4! I mean, that could lower the price of a keyboard by 50 cents.
And what's with the Scroll Lock key? If anyone knows, please click here to let me know!
While I'm on the topic of keyboards, what's with Insert? I mean, if I accidentally hit it while groping for the Delete key, I mess up what I'm writing until I realize that I'm doing so. And when I find a solitary situation where the Insert key would help, it doesn't! I hit it repeatedly, but to no avail! Then I have to highlight stuff with the MOUSE!
I have nothing against mice. Computer or otherwise. I mean, if that's what it takes to make the Mac's crumble (I like PC, myself) so be it! And would you believe what that little right mouse button can do? It has nearly doubled my productivity. Well, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit.
Anyway, my point is that whenever I highlight something, the danged computer tries to highlight more than I want. For instance, I might have programmed something in JavaScript, and wanted to change some data that is essentially the same, with minor differences. Say I want to change "frame1.src = /al2/bigal238/images/frame1.bmp" to "frame1.src = /al2/bigal238/images/frame1.jpg". Well, when I highlight "bmp", the stupid computer goes and highlights "frame1.bmp". Doesn't that annoy you?
