Poetry means different things to different people. Some people gag on the word. They see a lot of "bad poetry" and snicker and sneer. But the desire to express oneself poetically should never be disdained by our heartier brothers. In fact, it is no different from trying to paint with watercolor or play basketball or needlepoint or ski or build your own home page. It is the striving towards a desired outcome that is beautiful to me and I respect the effort more than the result.

Having said that, I have put together these links of people who, in my opinion have achieved touching results. And one of these links is to my own poetry and prose. I have no idea how my words will sound to you, for I am as guilty as any poet of having the loveliest of sentiments and best of intentions invisibly woven through my work. Yet I am not so naive as to think my words sacred or my meaning crystal clear or my purpose discernable. I will have considered myself successful if you do not gag.
