Hello my name is Sara,
I believe my Uncle Ed could really
use a webtv about now. He has been sick and in the the hospital four times this year. He is 54 and has alot of heart problems and lost his job because of it, and is haveing hard time fiding a new job with his health history.
I was thiking maybe he could
get online and find some kind of job on the world wide web to help him and his family out a bit. He has a 2 yr old girl and a 6month old girl and a 9 year old boy and he and his family had to move in with his wifes parents cause he can't find work I thought this may help him out a bit, he could meet some new frieds and have a little fun and work from home when he feels up to it.
Thank you for takeing the time to listen to me,
Sara

Gentlemen, I am disabled and don't get out much, and would love to be able to go online all the time. We have a classic unit, but my husband is on all the time, and it is difficult for me to find time. I sit watching him, mostly. I hope you will consider me as a recipiant of the unit. I have really wanted one, but haven't been able to afford it. We can get a 50% off break on webtv and the second ISP line is only $10. Thank you for your consideration.

She is the best Aunt to me while I was growing up.. Two years ago when my father got sick it was my aunt that had to make all the calls to get intouch with everyone here in Las Vegas and in Reno.. When my father died, my Aunt opened her home to me and my family... She is the best

Hello!
I think this is a wonderful thing you are doing! My name is Missy and I am 34 years old. I have been on disability since 1994 because of a fall I had at a local WalMart. I currently share my home with my mother who is also on disability because of severe neuropothy in her legs and feet due to her diabetes. She also will soon have to undergo at least two surgeries for clogged arteries in her neck. My mom is only 53. Both of our incomes together barely meet the months bills and we are only allowed $10 monthly for food stamps. Also, my oldest niece who is three spends 90% of her time at our house which also costs us more each month.
We currently have a webtv plus unit but unfortunately the cable hookups for the video feed do not work properly and we can not hook up a camera for pictures because of this. I have recently attempted to start a small online giftshop business just to try and make a little extra money each month to get us through. Getting my business started has been hampered by not being able to upload pictures to my website. The scanner you have would be perfect! I am not looking to make a fortune with my giftshop, but even $20 extra a month really helps. If I would be fortunate enough to win your webtv and scanner I would graciously give mine away. I know of a couple that would love to have a webtv but have not been able to afford one because of their love of animals. They are very big supporters of the humane society and have taken in many strays so the animals would not be destroyed. Their cat food bill alone is over $400 monthly, plus they have dog food bills and vet bills.
They do not care about the video feeds not working on my web because they do not have a cam corder or digital camera, but they would very much like to have the internet service. So I would give my webtv to them, if I am the lucky person chosen for your webtv. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. God Bless You Both!
Sincerely
Missy Guppy

What a very gererous offer. I am houseb ound at this time....although
I am starting
to get out alittle now.
I just bought an ultimatetv so I could be in touch with other people. Altough I don't need the unit, I could sure use some buddy's to help me learn the system. I am computer stupid and I am finding it very hard to learn from the User Guide. I know I can read English, but I think my guide was writter in Russian......not sure, but maybe.
Thanks for listening....hope I hear from you. Again, thanks Ron & Jason for helping someone who is truly in need of a little help,it will mean so much to them.

Please accept my petition to receive the WebTV Plus you are thinking of giving away. I am a woman, 79 years old, who has been on line about a year. Also I am housebound by a bad heart and osteoporis and get around on a walker. Until I got my first WebTV, I used to dread the days. I am not a soap opera fan. Friends would get me books from library-and I appreciated that-but now my eyesigh is not what is was then-so don't read much anymore.
A friend gave me her old WebTV Classic and should me how to use it, and I believe it saved my sanity. Now I have friends all over the world as a result. I have wanted a Plus since I became more proficient at talking to people and doing things on it that I can't do with what I have now. I certainly don't envy you making a choice from all the letters you will get-and hope you will consider me in the running. You certainly are different from most people today-who put a price on everything. I hope the person who does receive it will appreciate your kind generousity. Sincerely yours,
Betty Brown

First let me say what a nice and thoughtful thing you are doing. I Have just retired from New York Corrections Dept and relocated in Northern Alabama in a little town called New Market and we have the sweetest little lady for a neighbor her husband has had a stroke and is in a nursing hom her daughters are in different states all but one of them they have been after her to get a computer and she says well my land sakes I wouldn't know how to even work one of them things so we suggested a web/tv and she is kinda of thinking about one if she gets yours then she won't have to think about it anymore. That would be nice however if she doesn't We will see if we can get her one for christmas. In any event my gift to her will be a years subscription to webtv., so she can talk to her girls everyday with out worring about the phone bill. Maggy is in her late 60's and doesn't go out much and like most elderly folks today she lives on a meager fixed income, and has a lot o time to get on line if she had the web. Thanks for the chance to get one for her we apprieciate your generosity, the very best to you and whoever gets it.
God Bless You
Sincerely yours

Well what can i say,but i have a sister who is disabled and she is 49. She is in the house most of the time, cause she has siezures and chronic fatigue, plus nerolostical problems as well. She can't afford a webtv. so i think she would be a good candidate for the free webtv. It sure would brighten her life, and help her meet some fine friends on the internet. Thank you.
Her sister Janet
P.S. I am disabled also and love my webtv. I have had so much fun learning things on it,and it has changed my life for the better. I think it sure would be a blessing for my sis, also.

Hi Ronnie. This is NanaDi. How have you been? As for me things go be better. But then I guess the could be worse too. : - )
Ronnie, my sister is on SSI. And so therefore don't have much money. She has asthma and other health problem. She is having a lot of other problems too. Like she just got a van in like Feb. or March and in June it was stolen. And she moved in a apartment that one of her friends have. And now they want her to move out. And they are not even giving her 30 days to find a place and move. And like I said she don't have a car or anything now. So she is having trouble finding a way to go look for a place and she don't know any with a truck. So she don't know how she is going to get moved.
Since she don't have a way to get around I thought it would be nice if she could win this webtv. Then she could meet people and have something to doing. Is she was to get the webtv maybe if you wouldn't care she could write you too. She is 56 and not living with her husband. If that what you want to call the sorry excuse for a man. Any way she could meet lots of nice people to talk to and email.
Ronnie, I think what you and your friend is doing is very nice. I wish I could afford to help someone like that. You are two really special men. l think you are almost as nice as my husband.
Ronnie, I will go now. Take care and have a good week. Bye.

Hi Guys ...
First off let me introduce mysef ... My name is Donna, "Snowygal" ... I was sent your site from an epal unbeknownst to her; that for the last two weeks we have been hoping and praying and wandering how we might be able to help this family out with email capabilities. We would "love" to see this young lady have the ability to email her recently married hubby; who was deployed and shipped out on the USS Bataan a few weeks ago, due to the tragedy and attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon. Larry, my cousin's son; is a marine serving on the USS Bataan. His wife's name is Monica. They have been trying to email and contact each other through his Mom, my cousin, Deb ... and she has been the relay, the best she can. :) They cannot financially afford either a computer or webtv at this time. I cannot imagine how "very special" of a gift this would be for both of them, as they can be in closer contact daily while he is gone. I emailed Deb and asked if she wanted me to write and try for this generous offer of this webtv ... here was her response ...
----------------------------------------------
This would be so great as the poor kid doesn't have any money but she is going to give up cable TV to afford the service. That would just be so great. She just sounded so sad last night and it is hard for her to understand these things and for me to explain Larry's notes to her because I have to tell her in English. I am sure if she had her own web tv they have the words in Spanish. Wow the Lord does drop things into your lap doesn't he? I was worried about her getting email when I went to the hospital and had my surgery on the 17th. Love, Deb
----------------------------------------------
And here is the sight to be able to see and read about the USS Bataan; on which Larry serves ... who is ready, willing and able to stand and defend the U.S. and "all" of us. Larry can receive email, as he did answer me, as I wrote telling them "all" aboard; we as Americans were behind them all with love and prayer and support, and thanking them for their love, honor and duty and faithfulness of protecting each of us and America's freedom. His reply brought pride and blessings to me as he said they were all very proud, dedicated and "honored" to protect our country and "ALL" who love her just like us. And his main worry being his wife and three stepson's at home, asking for prayer for them. Sorry if this is lengthy, just felt the need to try and explain some of the circumstances around this young families situation. Thanks for your consideration, God Bless you both for your kindness and efforts, this is a special thing to do for ... "whomever."
Donna
----------------------------------------------
Larry left on deployment yesterday. Some of you have probably already seen his unit on TV (MSNBC for one) and also in the newspapers. He is with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) out of North Carolina. He is on the USS Bataan. He may be able to get email, we are not sure yet but if he does, I will pass it along to you. For now, here is his address in case you want it and 2 web sites so that you can see the USS Bataan and also the homepage of the 26th meu. SSGT Lawrence Boden HMM 365 M/C
