My kids & hubby bought me my Original Classic 2yrs ago for Mother's Day. I have no memory left in it. I have met so many wonderful ppl on here.I would love to upgrade to a Plus but just can't afford to buy one. Most of my friends have a Plus & say they are really great.                                     Hope i can do this               Thanks Brian for your wonderful generosity.

Hello...I have an aunt who is disabled with degenerative joint disease. She is home bound and hasn't much contact with the outside world. Her name is Eileen Kerwin, and if you haven't found someone yet, I would be more than happy to provide the additional info you need to contact her. She is 70 years old and is very much with it. She is sharp as a tack...ha ha! She would be thrilled to pieces! (((hugs)))

Thanks for the quick reply. My ex..Mary, has had a back operation which prohibits her from being on her feet for long periods of time. She also suffers from chronic bronchitis.   She overcame an "over-reliance" to perscription drugs several years ago and is doing good now in that area. Her disability payments are sent thru an agency where they help her to pay her bills and give her an allowance. She has said that she would be able to afford to make monthly payments for the internet.   Right now, she spends her days watching tv and not much else.   Our son visits her whenever he can but she lives about an hour away from us.   I think she would really enjoy opening up a whole new world for herself and meeting people from all over if she had the chance.   That is why I tried to get a webtv for her and have been trying to find another one that I can afford to get her.   If it would help.....I could ask her if I can give her phone # out in case you need to ask her any questions.   I hope I have helped to shed more light on her situation.   Thanks again...... Buz

Hi! My name is Ida and I started out using the internet with a webtv plus myself. I met many great people in talkcity. I have since upgraded to computer myself, but have never forgotten all the friends I have made with my webtv we still stay in touch. The reason I responded to this e-mail I received is for my Mom. She lives alone and this would be a great thing for her. A computer is much to hard for her to learn, I have tryed to teach her on mine. My brother and two sisters have computers also, as do many of my neices and nephews. My Mom can not work, and she receives SSI. I could teach her how to use the web. I knew nothing about the internet when I started but by the time I sent mine to my sister-in-law who had moved to California (which I truly missed) I was a pro. By the way my Sister-in-law loves the web and even though she was teachable she still missed her webtv. If I knew webtv was going to have instant messenger I probably would still be on webtv myself. So please consider sending your webtv to me for my Mom. I can promise it will not sit and collect dust.                           !     Ida

Hi Ronnie and Jim My name is Donna and I'm from Wisconsin and I think what you guys are doing is fantastic and the Lord will Bless you ten fold. I have a son named Raymond and he is 35 years old andhad both of his legs amputated all the way up to his pelvis. So he can't use prosthesis because there is nothing to grip on to. He started having problems when he turned 18. He had trouble breathing so we took him to the hospital and they sent him home saying he had pneuomia. Well needless to say he got worse. So I talked to our company doctor at work and he said to have him come to his office in the morning. Well, the doctor admitted him into the hospital. My husband and I both went to the hospital and the doctor met us at the elevator and told us that we experienced a miracle. They had traced the blood clot and it had gone through his heart and people do not live to tell about it..Praise Jesus! Now he was diagnoised in his left lung two thirds full of blood clots. They hospitalized him for three weeks and put him on blood thinners and some other meds. Later, six months to be exact, the other lung filled up two thirds full of blood clots. They got that cleared up for a while. Then a year later he blood clots went to his brain. Five different areas. He didn't know us for a week. Well by now his wife at the time couldn't take him being sick like this and left him. Now we are starting to have trouble with the right leg. There is no blood supply and they end up giving him artifical arteries. They didn't close or heal and the pain for Ray was unbearable. They start to amputate and cut off the lower leg below the knee. He was pretty happy about that because he figured he could still ride his motorcycle. Well needless to say the next morning they had to do emergency surgery and amputate all the way to the top of the pelvis. The blood clots had blocked all the way to the pelvis. Two years ago he started having problems with the left leg turning gray and they amputated that leg also. This time his heart stopped beating on the operating table because of the blood clots. They had to take him off blood thinners when they did the surgery and the blood clots clogged. He came back! Praise the Lord! My husband and I bought him a used mobile home which he shares with his younger brother. He is so independent that he wants to do things on his own. He as been working three days a week as a telemarketing person selling concert tickets for the policemen, and doing a great job! He even got a plaque for selling the most tickets in one month. He hasn't been to work now for the past month, because of another blood clot in his lung. He has been in bed most of the time. Now he is feeling better and is pretty bored. If we could afford a Webtv Plus, we would buy it for him, but you know how expensive those are. I think if he had a Webtv, he could spend hours having fun learning and enjoying others. The doctors never did figure out to this day, why he has these blood clots. His spirits are good and we feel that a webtv would bring a lot more enjoyment into his lfe. So this is Ray's story and why we feel it would be a miracle if Ray won the Webtv Plus. Thank You both and God Bless You and Yours. Donna

My husband has twin boys that are disablied, they cant read or write very good and we let them use ours at times. They arent able to work only mowing grass, as they dont really understand things. They are excused from jury duty because of there IQ. It would be nice if they had there own but my husband is retired and we are on a fixed income. If you feel that we meet your requirements we would appreciate it if you would consider the boys. Thank You Nancy & Carlie Coward

I have a sister that is having trouble contacting the family. Her husband is retired and disabled and he doesn't allow her to make long distance phone calls. Most of us in the family now have webtv so that we can keep in touch and I would love for her to have one also. She is my only sister and I love her dearly but I (having a handicap)don't have the money or the transportation to go and see her.. makes it really hard to talk to her or to even see her. I have seen her 1 time in over a year. I miss my sister dearly. With her husband the way he is he refuses to let her make long distance phone calls and with her taking care of him and his mom and dad which are in very bad health.. none of the family get to see her much. Please if you would.. please consider my sister as one of the ones for the webtv. She lives in Hubbard Ohio and we have family that would love to hear from her in Pa, Kansas, Florida, Ohio, and Nebraska. Thank you for your time and consideration.. always.. ~Mary~

I think giving away the web plus is a great idea.. I have one suggestion. I work for a Doctor who had a stroke and is in a veterans nursing home. I see alot of young guys there who sad to say don't have much to do. I was wondering if you have a veterans nursing home near you, if you do I would think it would be a great idea if you could find someone in there who would like to be online to meet new friends. It may make their life a little better.. Just a thought... Have a great day... Mystic
