MISSION TRIP 2000
A campus pastor and 8 students from Alabama embark to an unknown. They're not sure what's going to happen. They're not sure what it will be like. They only know one thing: God said GO!
Window at the church in Whiteriver
Our trip began in Atlanta, GA from the airport. After a layover in Denver, we arrived in Phoenix, AZ. We spent the next 6 days in Whiteriver which is about 3 hours east of Phoenix.
During the weekday mornings, our group led vacation bible school to the kids in the community. From preschool to teenagers, each day we had a little over 100 kids come in and spend the mornings with us. In the evenings we worshipped with the Whiteriver Assembly of God church, and witnessed so many people come to Christ! It was a wonderful time of prayer, praise and fellowship with others in the community! It was hard to say goodbye at the end of the week, but we were able to be satisfied in the knowledge that God was moving there and we were blessed enough to be part of it!
A special "thank you" goes out to everyone who prayed for this mission trip and helped finance it.
