TUSCALOOSA George Douglas (Buddy) Jones died October 30, 2013, at the DCH Regional Medical Center. Buddy was born September 23, 1945 in Greensboro, Alabama. He grew up in Tuscaloosa and graduated from Tuscaloosa High School. He was a combat veteran in the Marine Corps, serving in Viet Nam, and a survivor of the siege of Khe-Sanh. Following his honorable discharge Buddy worked with an insurance company, and in automobile sales. He later became co-owner and manager of Britain's Mens Wear, an institution in downtown Tuscaloosa for many years. He was predeceased by his parents George W. and Eloise Hinton Jones. He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Jones Anderson (Jim) and Margaret Jones Graham; his daughter Cristin Jones; sons Shaun (Jennifer), Jeremy (Jennifer), Blake (Ashlei); six grandchildren and numerous close friends in Tuscaloosa with whom he golfed, fished and partied; and a very close friend in Columbus Ms. that he grew up with in Shadydale.
