You run across the Sands as soon as the Hatching is over. Your good friend N'tar had Impressed a bronze. You couldn't believe it. You just had to talk to him.

You finally get off the hot Sands and find N'tar. "N'tar, I can't believe you got a bronze," you say excitedly.N'tar doesn't respond. He is busy stuffing the mouth of his little bronze.

You wait patiently until the hatchling's hunger is abayed. Then you repeat your exclamation.

"Isn't it wonderful," he says with a joyful smile.

The room becomes more crowded as people come to congradulate the new pairs. "N'tar, it's getting very crowded," you say after some one bumps into you,"Do you want to leave?"

N'tar looks around for a moment or two. "Yes, let's go to the berracks," he says leading the way to the entrance.

His little bronze follows slowly behind. N'tar turns around and helps his new life-mate. He starts walking again, and you follow him.

It is a slow journey to the berracks, but you finally reach it. Kinneth climbs onto his stone couch, and in no time he is asleep. You sit down and talk to N'tar. Suddenly a little white flit flies into the room.

"Who is that," you ask.

"That's Votri. The weyrwoman gave him to me."

You admire the little white for a moment. Then, you continue your conversation with N'tar. After a while, you leave the berracks and retire to your own room.
