NMLRA 2002 ALABAMA TERRITORIAL MATCHES
Line Matches - April 5,6, & 7, 2002

The ASMLA will host the 2002 NMLRA Alabama Territorial Matches at the Brierfield Ironworks Park on April 5, 6, & 7, 2002. The matches will be conducted in accordance with NMLRA Rules and Territorial Guidelines. The matches will start at 8:00 A.M. on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. The range will close at 6:00 P.M. on Friday & Saturday, and at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday. Prizes will be medals (1st thru 3rd for each match) and medals (1st thru 5th for aggregate) furnished by the NMLRA. There will be a registration fee of $5.00 per competitor, and a range fee of $5.00 per competitor. We apologize for the range fee, but the cost for using the Brierfield range is $125.00 per day and the match receipts will not cover this. This year the NMLRA requires that 100% of the $5.00 registration fee be remitted to them. The entry fee for each aggregate is $9.00. 1st thru 5th place in an aggregate will qualify a competitor to compete in the national matches at Friendship, In. in June 2003. Each competitor in the NMLRA Territorial Matches must be a member of the NMLRA and furnish proof of membership at registration. Memberships and Junior Shooter cards will be available at the registration desk. The following aggregates will be available: Offhand, Flintlock, Benchrest, Musket, One Gun, Cross Sticks, Ladies, Juniors, Sub-Juniors, Pistol, Hunters, Unlimited Longhunters, and Ladies Offhand.
Brierfield Ironworks Park is located on Alabama highway 25 just south of Montevallo, Al. Camping is available with showers and toilets. A limited number of cabins are also available from the park. Contact camp coordinator, Sandy Mathis, at the park, 205-665-1856, for camping information and to make reservations for cabins.
Trap and Skeet aggregates will be held on Saturday, April 20, by the Alabama State Muzzle Loading Association (ASMLA) near Clanton, Alabama. The ASMLA has several rifles available for junior shooters to use during this match. These rifles will be available at the match. They are CVA 50 caliber and seem to function and shoot very well. These are available on first come, first serve basis.

1. Bench and musket matches may use 2 consecutive relays
2. Rifles for benchrest, musket, one gun, cross-sticks & juniors shall be inspected and approved by the range officer prior to firing any shot for record.
3. Age limits: Sub-Juniors---shooter who has not reached his/her 12th birthday
Junior--------- shooter who has not reached his/her 16th birthday
Intermediate- shooter who has not reached his/her 19th birthday
4. All pistol matches to be fired in one relay.
5. No sighters (practice targets allowed, but not as sighters with match target).
6. All targets shall be posted in their normal position, and may not be turned sideways or upside down.
7. Scopes and Sabots are allowed in Agg P.
