Connecting the control horns to the tail group . . .
Let's make sure we understand the basic terminology involved with the tail group:
The elevator & rudder are "control surfaces" - surfaces that move.
When the elevator moves "up" the plane goes up.
When the rudder moves "right"
(looking at the plane from behind), the plane goes right.
Here are some photos where I try to explain how to attach the control horns.
I prefer to attach the control horns before attaching the tail group to the fuselage.
I build the tail group in this order:
1 - glue the tail group together
2 - attach the control horns
3 - glue the tail group to the fuselage
