I made this image when I was almost eleven years old in 1972.  I set up several scenes in my bedroom and photographed them using my point and shoot camera with flash cubes - remember those?.  I remember being disappointed when I saw the prints because the figures were not in focus and they were washed out.  Note that the image above was scanned from the original negative and manipulated using image editing software - this is why it appears somewhat sharp and not washed out.

I look at this image now and think about how graphic this set-up is.  Look at the unusual way the Japanese figure is using the machete - so much for realism?  I wish I still had the Japanese Joe and A-Team Vehicle, but I traded them away years ago.  I did not photograph any of my action figures again until 1984.
