Adegan

Also known as the sundragons or the golden dragons.
The Adegan were the first of the six clans to take a path of their own.
They are the biggest of all dragons, only the red Pyros matching their
size and strength.
The sundragons live in the northernmost reaches of Atyre, in the ice plains of
northern S'Aruse, and in the cold mountains of the mysteryland Lavea.
They are only seen in the south when called by a dragonlord.

Amparo Darksun (age 2 400 years)
The most well-known of the golden dragons. His name "Darksun" is
because he hatched during an eclipse, which the sundragons thought
was an ill omen. However, because he was the dragon of perhaps
the most legendary dragonlord of all time, Dulcea the Lightbringer, he
became revered among his own kind as well as among the younger races.

After the creation of the Black Stone of Morianor the glorious kingdoms
of ancient Caerth began to fall, one after another, and the dragonstones were lost.
The golden ones returned to the north and disappeared, until in 1621 after
the beginning of the new age, an elven enchantress named Dulcea found
the golden dragonstone.
The saruseans had occupied Caerth in 1020, and brave Dulcea was the
only one to rise against their tyranny in 600 years.
When she called for the golden dragons it was Amparo Darksun who
answered her first. He became her most trusted friend and guardian,
and between the years 1621 and 1625 Dulcea raised an army and fought
against the sarusean oppressors until her sudden, mysterious death
in the plains of the northern Esawin.

What only few people know is that Dulcea the Lightbringer disappeared
some days before her death, as her armies were camped in northern Esawin,
waiting for the next encounter with the saruseans.
Amparo sought his mistress everywhere, but did not find her. She contacted him
a few brief moments, saying that she was alright, and that she was with lord Krath.
How and why she had suddenly come across the vampirelord and decided to go
with him, nobody knows, but the last Amparo heard of her she said she was coming back,
and asked Amparo to take her home.
He took off to retreave her immediately, but she was dead when he found her.
Lord Krath was there with her, and he took her body away.

Furious and heartbroken Amparo Darksun swore bitter vengeance to Krath, fully
attempting to tear his undead body to pieces for slaying his dear mistress,
but Krath vanished, and has not been seen or heard of since.
Amparo never found his mistress' body, nor the one who had killed her.
The Great War ended in 1625, soon after Dulcea's death. The saruseans fled
and Caerth was freed, but it is said that Amparo is still out there, looking for revenge.
His hatred for the vampirelord has not faded one bit after 400 years...
