Very little is known about the Timaru, also referred to
as the lost clan. It is known that they did exist in the
early days of the world, and that they were still with us
somewhere around the year 1600, because the dragonstones
were created then, and it is known that the amber dragonstone
was created among the five others.

It is said that they are seadragons, so it is possible that they
swam further away than anyone has ever been, and never returned.
The amber dragonstone became useless and was lost.
