Personality: Kitai is generally a happy-go-lucky individual with a bit of a mischievous side. He often gets himself into trouble, however, as he likes to play pranks on others. Even though his father has forbidden him from associating with others due to his appearance, he tries to make the most of what life has given him. He's usually rather scatter-brained and easily distracted, but if something is important to him, he can buckle down and focus. He is very agile and likes to spend a lot of time up in the trees around his home.
History: At first glance, Kitai might look like a normal human, that is until you notice the cute fox ears poking through his hair or his rather fur covered hands with sharp nails or his bushy tail. While he tries to hide these features as much as possible so as not to cause his father trouble, sometimes he chooses not to just to frighten the nearby villagers.
His father was once married to a human woman, who died giving birth to his older half-sister. His father was terribly distraught to lose his young wife but met up with his mother during a local festival. His father had no idea that the beautiful lady was actually a fox demon in human form. Not too long afterward, she appeared with the infant Kitai in tow. She left the baby with his father and vanished. His father was shocked when he found the infant had rather fox-like ears, but he couldn't bear the thought of destroying the little Kitai. So instead, he uprooted himself and his young daughter and moved into the woods where he could raise his children in peace.
Kitai's sister wasn't too keen on having a baby brother at first, but she thought he looked so cute with his little tail and ears that she quickly came to love him as a real brother. Even though she is only two years older than him she has a tendency to mother him, which he hates. He tolerates it most of the time, however, because he knows she means well.
Now that Kitai is fifteen, he has been thinking recently about what to do with his life. In an area dominated by humans, he doesn't really fit in, so he's not sure what kind of craft he would be accepted into. The lack of options for his future leaves him very restless.
