Personality: A little awkward around other people, Marslyn tries to make friends, but she's not all that good at it. She tries to be polite but has a short temper and tends to get upset quite easily, which drives people away. She struggles to focus on anything as she's always worried about trying to get along with other people. She is easily depressed, and it's usually Cuainfarth's job to try to cheer her up.
History: Marslyn was born to a pair of very talented tailors. Both of her parents were often sought after to make clothes for the Lord Holders, and Marslyn was always expected to follow in their footsteps. She did show some early talent, but the pressure put on her snuffed what little she had. With her mother's death and her father's rather sudden remarriage, she dropped sewing all together.
Marslyn didn't really get along well with any of her siblings. They were all rather talented individuals, especially her older sister, who could almost match their mother in skill with only sixteen turns. She was constantly held up as a standard for poor Marslyn, who more often than not fell short of her parents' and the hold's expectations. Because of this, she often sought to make friends outside of her family, but her quick temper and easily depressed spirits turned most of the other children in her hold against her. So, instead she spent a good deal climbing nearby cliffs and running away from the canines of the hold that terrified her.
Despite her protests, Marslyn was sent off to the Weaver Crafthall. She didn't advance quickly as her short temper often caused snares in her thread as well as more than one argument with one of her masters. Plus, her slips into depression made her slow to work and rather unfocused as she tried to figure out why the other apprentices avoided her.
Eventually, Marlyn left the hall, and, unwilling to return home, she wandered rather aimlessly from hold to hold depending on the kindness of others and what little skill she had to get her through the day. Luckily, she was Searched shortly after she left and was able to Impress her wonderful Cuainfarth who often brings her out of her depression and calms her raging temper.
