Prophesies of Jesus
Twenty of the Over 300 prophecies are fulfilled in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection
knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, 19but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. 20For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you. (NASB)1 Peter 1:18-20
In each of the following points, the Prophesy from the Old Testament is first listed, and then the Fulfillment from the New Testament Scriptures.
Jesus Birthplace:
Micah 5:2
"But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Too little to be among the clans of Judah,
From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel.
His goings forth are from long ago,
From the days of eternity."
Matthew 2:1-6
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, 2"Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east, and have come to worship Him." 3And when Herod the king heard it, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4And gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he began to inquire of them where the Christ was to be born. 5And they said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it has been written by the prophet,
6'And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah,
Are by no means least among the leaders of Judah;
For out of you shall come forth a Ruler,
Who will SHEPHERD My people Israel.' "
Jesus Born Of A Virgin:
Isaiah 7:14
"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.
Matthew 1:20-23
But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for that which has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21"And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins." 22Now all this took place that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, 23"Behold, the virgin shall be with CHILD, AND SHALL BEAR A Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which translated means, "God with us."
Messiah Tempted of Satan:
Psalm 91:10-12
No evil will befall you,
Nor will any plague come near your tent.
11For He will give His angels charge concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.
12They will bear you up in their hands,
Lest you strike your foot against a stone.
Matthew 4:5-7
Then the devil took Him into the holy city; and he had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, 6and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God throw Yourself down; for it is written,
'He will give His angels charge concerning You';
and
'On their hands they will bear You up,
Lest You strike Your foot against a stone.' "
7Jesus said to him, "On the other hand, it is written, 'You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.' "
Messiah Enters Jerusalem Triumphantly:
Zech. 9:9
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
He is just and endowed with salvation,
Humble, and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Matthew 21:8-11
And most of the multitude spread their garments in the road, and others were cutting branches from the trees, and spreading them in the road. 9And the multitudes going before Him, and those who followed after were crying out, saying,
"Hosanna to the Son of David;
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna in the highest!"
10And when He had entered Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying, "Who is this?" 11And the multitudes were saying, "This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee."

And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
Isaiah 53:3

A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face,
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
John 1:10-11
He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.

Who ate my bread,
Has lifted up his heel against me.
Psalm 55:12-13
For it is not an enemy who reproaches me,

My companion and my familiar friend.

Betrayed For 30 Pieces of Silver:
Zech. 11:12-13
And I said to them, "If it is good in your sight, give me my wages; but if not, never mind!" So they weighed out thirty shekels of silver as my wages. 13Then the Lord said to me, "Throw it to the potter, that magnificent price at which I was valued by them." So I took the thirty shekels of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the Lord.
Matthew 26:14-16
Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests, 15and said, "What are you willing to give me to deliver Him up to you?" And they weighed out to him thirty pieces of silver. 16And from then on he began looking for a good opportunity to betray Him.
Matthew 27:3-4
Then when Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He had been condemned, he felt remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? See to that yourself!"
Tried & Condemned:
Isaiah 53:8 (Written in 538BC)

He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He did not open His mouth;
Like a lamb that is led to slaughter,
And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers,
So He did not open His mouth.
8By oppression and judgment He was taken away;
And as for His generation, who considered
That He was cut off out of the land of the living,

Matthew 15:3-5

1 Peter 2:22-23
who COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN His mouth; 23and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

Mocked & Taunted:

8"Commit yourself to the Lord; let Him deliver him;
Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him."

Crucified with Pierced Hands & Feet:
Psalm 22:14-16
I am poured out like water,
And all my bones are out of joint;
My heart is like wax;
It is melted within me.
15My strength is dried up like a potsherd,
And my tongue cleaves to my jaws;
And Thou dost lay me in the dust of death.
16For dogs have surrounded me;
A band of evildoers has encompassed me;
They pierced my hands and my feet.
Zech. 12:10
"And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born.

Suffers With Sinners:
Isaiah 53:12
Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great,
And He will divide the booty with the strong;
Because He poured out Himself to death,
And was numbered with the transgressors;
Yet He Himself bore the sin of many,
And interceded for the transgressors.

John 19:23-24
The soldiers therefore, when they had crucified Jesus, took His outer garments and made four parts, a part to every soldier and also the tunic; now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece. 24They said therefore to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it shall be"; that the Scripture might be fulfilled, "They DIVIDED My outer garments among them, and for My clothing they cast LOTS."
No Bones Broken:
Numbers 9:12

John 19:31-37
The Jews therefore, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32The soldiers therefore came, and broke the legs of the first man, and of the other man who was crucified with Him; 33but coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs; 34but one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water. 35And he who has seen has borne witness, and his witness is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe. 36For these things came to pass, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, "Not a bone of Him shall be BROKEN." 37And again another Scripture says, "They shall look on Him whom they pierced."
Died As A Sin Offering:

But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him.

To crush Him, putting Him to grief;

He will prolong His days,
And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.
11As a result of the anguish of His soul,
He will see it and be satisfied;
By His knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will justify the many,
As He will bear their iniquities.
Ephes. 1:4-5
just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,

far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. 22And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the fulness of Him who fills all in all.
