The Rules of the Forum

The Rules of the forum are relatively simple. Basically, keep in mind that this is a family-friendly site and all things posted on the forum may be censored if necessary.

No Cursing or profanity. Be respectful to fellow members -- I've been on many webboards and I know how to spot those people who are passionate about a topic, and those who go out of their way to start a fight. Unproductive bickering is a pet-peeve of mine....debates and such that have information and a point are OK, as is speaking your mind on issues of concern. But pick your battles and don't start a quarrel over something trivial.

Don't break copyright laws -- always give credit where credit is due. If you take something off a website to post on the forum, always give a link back to that website. If your taking an article out of a magazine or book, please write down the name of the book/magazine as well as the author of the article. Some poems and jokes that have circulated the internet end up with "annonymous" or "no author" - you can occassionally find out who really wrote the poem by going to a search engine like http://www.google.com and entering the name of the poem.

Don't write things that may be construde as slander. My take on the issue of "reporting foul breeders" is that there are 2 sides to every story, and if you are going to make these claims, you better have a whole lot of proof to back it up. If you feel the need to make such a post, please run it by me first via e-mail.

I basically keep the right to censor things...i.e. links to puppymills or backyard breeders, curse words, topics ment to just start fights, things that are off topic, etc. I also will move topics to different sections if they don't fall under the right heading.

These are basically the standard policy on all forums. I'm pretty sure none of the above will be a serious problem. Like most forums, you get warnings but if you continue to break rules you will be banned from the forum.
