Mowrey is a veteran of live theater and was a student for six years at Maryland's Creative and Performing Arts School. At the age of 13, Mowrey started going to New York with her mother for auditions, and landed her first role in a Kellogg's cereal commercial. She has also appeared in commercials for Nintendo and U.S. Healthcare. Her theater credits include Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Romeo and Juliet" at The Folger Theater in Washington, D.C., as well as "The Magic Lamp," "Peter & the Meter," "The Grateful Statues" (Kabuki theater) and "Charlotte's Web." She also appeared on the daytime television drama "The Guiding Light." A native of Bowie, Maryland, Mowrey hopes to keep her small-town roots intact now that she is living in Los Angeles.

Although she spends much of her spare time engaged in athletic endeavors such as dancing, rollerblading and playing soccer, she also enjoys shopping for vintage clothes and hanging out with friends. Her birthday is in January. (article from: NBC)
