Being the Christmas season I thought this might be a nice little tut

Let's begin

Open your template in PSP, any PSP is fine, I still am using PSP7,
old habits die hard
The first thing is to use your freehand lasso tool....lasso all around the
snow on the xmas tree that you want to sparkle.........in PSP7 just hold down the shift key
until you have circled all you want to sparkle, right click to select all....now go to ...edit...copy...edit...paste as new image.....you now have all your snow that you want
to sparkle.....save this to a folder ....we will add the sparkle later...
This is what you will have,with no yellow showing, I just saved it
wrong
Before we go further, if you want to surround your lights and make them glow
now would be a good time, I didn't make mine glow as it would have made
too much animation
On your template....Close off all the snow layers and open the background layer..with your lasso tool...
lasso around the frame and the xmas trees like so
Go to selections....load to alpha channel and name it frame
Add a new layer and name it text...add whatever text you wish and keep that layer open at all times
Remember when you "load from alpha chanel" make sure you are
on the snow layer
Make sure your text layer...picture layer and background layer are open at all times....select none
1)Open s1 layer and ...selections...load from alpha chanel...
hit delete..select none....edit>...copy>merge...Open animation shop...right click in animation shop
and paste as new animation...go back to PSP
2)Close off s1...open s2....selections...load from alpha
chanel....hit delete...select none.......edit>...copy>merge...in animation shop
right click on last frame and paste after current frame....go back to PSP
3)Close off s2...open s3....selections...load from alpha
chanel....hit delete...select none...edit>..copy>merge...in animation shop
right click on last frame and paste after current frame....go back to PSP
4)Close off s3...open s4....selections...load from alpha
chanel....hit delete...select none...edit>..copy>merge...in animation shop
right click on last frame and paste after current frame...go back to PSP
5)Close off s4...open s5....selections...load from alpha chanel....hit delete...select none...edit...copy>merge..
in animation shop
right click on last frame and paste after current frame...go back to PSP
6)Close off s5...open s6...selections...load from alpha
chanel....hit delete...select none...edit>...copy>merge...in animation shop
right click on last frame and paste after current frame...go back to PSP
7)Close off s6...open s7....selections...load from alpha
chanel....hit delete...select none....edit>...copy>merge...in animation shop
right click on last frame and paste after current frame...go back to PSP
8)Close off s7...open s8....selections...load from alpha
chanel....hit delete...select none...edit>...copy>merge...in animation shop
right click on last frame and paste after current frame...go back to PSP
9)Close off s8...open s9....selections...load from alpha

chanel....hit delete...select none...edit>..copy>merge...in animation shop
right click on last frame and paste after current frame...go back to PSP
19)Close off s18...open s19....selections...load from alpha
chanel....hit delete...select none...edit>..copy>merge...in animation shop
right click on last frame and paste after current frame...go back to PSP
20)Close off s19...open s20....selections...load from alpha
chanel....hit delete...select none...edit>..copy>merge...in animation shop
right click on last frame and paste after current frame
Now open animation shop and bring in your snow tree that we saved..
go to "effect"..insert image effects and in the drop down box click on ...noise....click OK...go to the
first frame and delete it
You should have 20 frames....make the snow tree active and click on
edit>select all...edit>copy, now click on your back ground pic you and go to edit>select all...edit>paste into selected frames
and place your tree exactly on top of the tree in your picture...
Now the star...open your star in animation shop....make it the active one... click on edit>
select all....edit>copy... now go to your picture and click on edit>
select all....edit...paste into selected frames....Place the star right on top of the star in the picture
There you go now all you have to do is enjoy it
