Anson M. Keller

Anson M. Keller practices in the areas of environmental, occupational and defamation law. For the past sixteen years, Mr. Keller has been involved with state and federal court litigation and general administrative proceedings. He has served as a consultant to private and government clients for legal and regulatory policy analysis.

Mr. Keller was Special Assistant for Legal Affairs and Regulatory Policy for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) from 1975 to 1980. At OSHA, he was responsible for giving legal and policy advice on all aspects of health and safety regulation, including risk assessment, cost-benefit analysis, and alternative regulatory approaches. He was responsible for over two dozen OSHA-proposed regulations on toxic chemicals and safety regulations, including asbestos and cotton dust.

Mr. Keller served as Associate General Counsel for Pesticides, Toxic Substances & Solid Waste Management at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from 1972 to 1975. He supervised all general counsel work of EPA related to pesticides, toxic substances, and solid waste management. He also directed all administrative and court litigation and appeals under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), including the cases involving Aldrin-Dieldrin and Chlordane. He directed activities under the Clean Water Act concerning toxic pollutants and drafted model legislation and local ordinances for FIFRA requirements.
