Fighting Flea was created by Finster to battle the Rangers. Shrunk to the size of a real flea by Rita, Fighting Flea was placed on a stray dog Jason had found. Biting him, Fighting Flea placed Jason under a powerful itching spell. The itch was so bad that Jason could barely fight, but he was forced to when Fighting Flea returned to normal size and attacked. Fighting Flea put up a decent fight, but ended up being destroyed by the MegaZord's Power Sword.
Fighting Flea was later seen as an illusion created by Lord Zedd's Trumpet Top monster. He battled the Rangers until they were teleported away by Zordon, at which point the illusions disappeared.
(The real) Fighting Flea's final battle was against the Thunder Zords, alongside Rito Revolto and three other monsters. Annoyed by Rito's stupidity, Fighting Flea was nevertheless successful in assisting to destroy the Thunder Zords once and for all.
