Having been given a new Magic Wand by Finster, Rita Repulsa attempted to use it to transform Katherine into a monster. Unfortunately, Finster accidentally bumped into her just as she fired, and the blast ended up striking Kat's hideous, selfmade purse instead, transforming it into Impursonator. Though at first disappointed at her creation, Rita decided to use her anyway, and sent her to battle the Zeo Rangers. Upon growing, Impursonator found herself faced with the Zeo MegaZord. The pink monster soon proved herself to be Rita's most powerful monster ever, reflecting the finishing attacks of the Zeo MegaZord, Red BattleZord, and Pyramidas, and surviving the finishing attacks of both modes of the Zeo UltraZord. Furious that Rita's monster was doing better than his, King Mondo teleported Impursonator away to a distant planet.
Using some type of crystal ball, Finster located Impursonator and returned her to Earth. When the Rangers tried to use the Super Zeo MegaZord to subdue the crazed Zeo MegaZord, Impursonator appeared in the Zord's cockpit and threw the the Rangers out, assuming control of the Zord. After trading a few insults with Cog Changer in the Zeo MegaZord, the two monsters began to battle each other, using the MegaZords as their own. When Impursonator was eventually tricked out of the Super Zeo MegaZord by the Rangers, she was recalled to the moon by Rita, who scolded her for not having put a dent in the Rangers since their first fight. Impursonator begged for another chance, which Rita gave to her, sending her to join with Cog Changer on Earth. Though Impursonator was certain the two of them could handle the Zeo and Aquitian Rangers, the two teams pummelled the monsters, and Impursonator was made giant again by Rita and Lord Zedd.
Impursonator didn't fare as well this time, and was thrashed by the Super Zeo Zords. At King Mondo's command, Impursonator combined with Cog Changer, forming a super-beast. Unfortunately, this still wasn't enough, and Impursonator was destroyed by the Warrior Wheel.
