Oysterizer was an undersea being awakened by Rita Repulsa in an attempt to destroy the sea. With four of the Rangers frozen by Rita's Pearls of Stillness, Zack and Tommy went to the beach to battle Oysterizer. Oysterizer very nearly finished Zack with his acidic gel before Tommy intervened. Given Tommy's Dragonshield, Zack landed a heavy punch to Oysterizer's face pearl, sending the monster back to the sea and unfreezing the other Rangers. When the Rangers and the MegaZord ventured into the sea and destroyed the Ecocyte Pearl, a furious Oysterizer attacked, easily overpowering the MegaZord underwater. Tommy summoned the DragonZord, who knocked Oysterizer out of the sea, but was outmatched when the fight moved onto the shore. When the MegaZord joined its ally, the two Zords overpowered Oysterizer and destroyed him with the MegaZord's Power Sword.
Oysterizer was later resurrected by Lord Zedd to help Goldar protect the Rock of Time from the Power Rangers. After a brief fight, Oysterizer was vaporized by an arrow from Kimberly's Power Bow.
Much later, Oysterizer was present in Zedd and Rita's army as they conquered the Vica Galaxy.
Oysterizer apparently survived Zordon's energy wave, as he was later seen as a resident on Onyx, trying to bid on the Pink Quasar Saber. He must have perished since then, however, as the next time he was seen, he was one of the many monsters seen trying to escape the Shadow World.
