Pudgy Pig was created by Finster for Rita when she wanted to ruin the Food Festival being held at the Youth Center. Finster had reservations about sending Pudgy Pig, as it was not his best work, but Rita had him send him anyway. Upon arriving on Earth, Pudgy Pig immediately began to eat everything in sight. According to Zordon, Pudgy Pig could wipe out Earth's entire food supply in a mere forty-eight hours. The Rangers immediately went into battle, but Pudgy Pig quickly gained the upper hand, swallowing their Power Weapons and getting rid of them via a swirling vortex. By the time the Rangers rematerialized, Pudgy Pig had demolished the Food Festival. The Rangers arrived too late to save the Festival, but dicovered a plate of spicey radishes left untouched. Billy theorized that spicey foods must make the monster sick, and so the Rangers returned to battle with a smorgasboard for Pudgy Pig. One by one they fed him delicious dishes, when Trini fed him a submarine sandwhich with a radish inside. Pudgy Pig became instantly ill, throwing up all the food as well as the Rangers' weapons. Seriously weakened by the radish, Pudgy Pig was no match for the Rangers and was subsequently destroyed by the Power Blaster.
Pudgy Pig later appeared on the Island of Illusion as a hallucination of the Rangers', in an attempt to frighten them with previously fallen foes. When the Rangers stood their ground, however, Pudgy Pig disappeared.
Much later, Rita used a special device to transform Norman, Bulk's pet pig, into Pudgy Pig. The Rangers were once again overwhelmed by their porcine foe, but this time they did not destroy him. Using the same device Rita did, the Rangers were able to turn Pudgy Pig back into Norman.
