R.O.K Marine Base

I spent the majority of my time in Korea as the Data Chief and Technical Controller for the Reconnaissance Operations Center located on the Republic of Korea Marine Base about a mile from Camp Mu juk in Pohang.

During these operations, I  focus all my attention on what is going on with the communications network. As a LCpl I was performing the jobs of four Marines and two of those jobs were designated for SNCO's. Though these are much more senior billets and not even my primary MOS, the blame falls on me regardless, and in an operation of this scale there are no excuses. This is why as you see, while I was out on this base, I never went out on liberty.  Mark UFL 02 as yet another success for myself and the Marine Corps. I received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal for my performance on this operation.

One of the most common things for Marines when we go on ops to work with Marines from other countries is to trade them for different items. Common items that are traded are M.R.E.'s, knives, and uniform accessories.
