Personality: He's a VERY corrupt monk. Corrupt Monk Extrordinare. He does everything against the law of Buddhism: Eats meat, doesn't shave himself bald (THANK GOD), carries a gun, kills people, threatens people, hits them on the head with a paper fan, drinks, smokes, gambles and swears.
He's really virtuous though; he swore to bring back his master's sutra (see past) even if it meant giving his life. He's kinda selfish...let me just hope he isn't selfish in love-making. :P And he isn't really as cold as he seems; he pretends not to care about the other 3, but he really does, especially Goku. (see yaoi)
Past: He was found by the river by Koumyo Sanzo, was raised by him, and was given the name Kouryuu. The other monks in the temple were pretty pissed with Kouyruu being Koumyo's fave student, and called him 'Kouryuu the River Drifter'. Anyway, one night, Koumyo was attacked by youkais and his sutra was stolen. He gave his life to protect Kouryuu. Aww...*sniffle* So Kouryuu inherited the 'Sanzo' title, and swore to bring back the stolen sutra.
What I think: He's hot and sexy and everything I want!!! He's such a pretty bishie!! I especially love it when we get to see that black undergarment...see him wearing that and it makes him 100000 times more sexy! *rolls around in ecstasy*
