Savera : A Profile
- Founder member : Mrs. Reeta Bhuyan Mehta & Dr.
Parvinder Singh Narang. Started Savera in 1993 as a Early Intervention Center
for mere 5 children at 3 J D Mkt., Pitampura, Delhi. Full fledged school was
started in 1996 at a small flat at Rohini.
- Initially the people around the flats objected that
they are worried about their normal children's development will suffer amidst
these children. The first aim was to educate public and people around these
children including parents. Awareness Program was started for parents and
teachers of all nearby schools. The first conference "REACH OUT OF REACH THEM"
was held in 1997 for public, parents and medical professional.
Reach out to Reach Them

All children are wonderful gift of GOD to us. Quite a
few have special needs may be physical, mental, social or psychological. These
special children are with you because you are special parents for them.

The real handicap in our society is our attitude in
accepting their difficulties. The need is to explore their abilities while
managing their disabilities and thus make them self- reliant and groom them to
live with high self esteem and respect.
Abilities Unlimited
- Whatever disabilities these children may have we have
to explore their abilities. Their abilities have to enhance and disabilities
needs to be managed.
- Like any other children they seek love, affection
and attention. Like any other children they have the right to live with
respect and dignity. They suffer from the sympathetic and indifferent attitude
of the society.
Savera Special School
- "A unique learning Environment and experienced professional", this is
all about the Savera Special School.
- Special School for children with special needs.
- In a formal school it is the child who has to learn in a special school
the child is specially taught .
- Savera Special School function under the aegis of "Saver Rehabilitation
Institute for children's " a recognized NGO. It is a non-profit making
organization started in the year 1996. The school is situated at small rented
place A-35 Saraswati Vihar, Pitampura New Delhi . Present full capacity
strength is 45 children

What is Home?
The concept of Home has evolved because of the most
genuine concerns of the parents of these children about their future and
sincerity.
The society has views that no Home can replace their
families and hence is focused on educating parents and other family members
through various awareness programs about
the needs of Special Children.
The Home will essentially target only that section of
such children who are not privileged enough due to any reason to continue to be
with their family members.
